International Social and Environmental
Accreditation and Labelling Alliance (ISEAL)
The International Social and Environmental Accreditation and
Labelling (ISEAL) Alliance is a collaboration of leading international
standard-setting, accreditation and labeling organizations
that are concerned with social and environmental criteria
in product and renewable resource management certification.
SAAS is a member of ISEAL and must meet the accreditation
criteria set by ISEAL. ISEAL members that deliver international
accreditation services must comply with the requirements of
ISO Guide 17011 as a prerequisite for membership in the ISEAL
Alliance. The process by which organizations show their compliance
is through an external audit of their procedures and operating
practices.
