Actions Taken:

September 7, 2000: complaint lodged with SAI and forwarded to the certification body.

Later in September, 2000: the certifier attempted to investigate via an unannounced audit, but found the factory closed for a holiday. The certification of the factory was suspended until such time as an audit could take place.

November 7-8; audit took place and the factory was found to be far out of compliance, evidence was found supporting the specific violations in the complaint..
 
November 2000: certificate cancelled by certification body

Factory has not since reapplied for certification
