Dorianne Beyer, National Child Labor Committee
Ms. Dorianne Beyer, Esq. (L.L.M., J.D., B.A.) is the General Counsel of the National Child Labor Committee, which has been in the leadership of establishing, implementing and promoting safe, healthy and developmentally sound U.S. child labor laws and policies since 1904. In that role she has codified all age-sensitive US laws, drafted model legislation and testified in front of Congress. Ms. Beyer has been a national and international labor standards lawyer, author, trainer and speaker for the past 25 years. Most recently, Ms. Beyer was appointed to a three-year term on the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) newly convened Consultative Group to Eliminate the Use of Child Labor and Forced Labor in Imported Agricultural Products. Additionally, she has applied her labor policy experience as a public consultant to such governmental agencies as the U.S. Departments of Labor, State and Agriculture, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and the U.S. Army, as well as to the United Nations, the Child Labor Coalition, Burger King Intl., universities, corporations, blue ribbon panels, policy makers, the NGO community and the media. Ms. Beyer is also a founding principal of Labor & Monitoring Consultants, LLC, which provides a wide range of labor standards and practices assistance to companies, governments, trade associations, unions and NGOs worldwide. Ms. Beyer serves as a founding member of the Advisory Board of Social Accountability International and is a member of Rainforest Alliance's Sustainable Agricultural Network International Standards Committee.

John Brookes, Global Loss Prevention, Inc.
Mr. Brookes is presently the Assistant Vice President - Quality Management at Global Loss Prevention, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Chartis (a leading global insurance company). In this role he develops and maintains quality management processes for the company's global insurance engineering services, (encompassing all aspects of ISO 9001 compliance and ongoing business improvement initiatives). From 2002 to 2005, prior to joining the Chartis organization, Mr. Brookes was owner of Management Accountability Systems; an independent company providing quality, environmental, and social accountability consulting, auditing and training services. During this period, he led SA8000 Accreditation audits on behalf of SAAS. Between 1991 and 2001, Mr. Brookes held the position of Senior Vice President - Business Development for SGS International Certification Services (Now SGS Systems & Services Certification). While at SGS, he was Global Program Manager for social accountability and an SA8000 Lead Auditor and trainer. He was also a founding member of the SAI Advisory Board and assisted SAI in the development social accountability auditing evaluation and reporting protocols. During the 1980's Mr. Brookes was a quality consultant and IRCA certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. Mr. Brookes has served as a member of the SAAS Accreditation Committee since 2006 and currently also serves as a member of the Accreditation Review Panel for SAAS.

Ivano Corraini, Confederate CGIL
Mr. Corraini is the former Secretary General of FILCAMS-CGIL and currently leads the National Legal Office of CGIL. CGIL is the main Italian union with over 5.7 million members. He is also the president of the FILCAMS-CGIL Study Centre. FILCAMS-CGIL is the fourth largest union with approximately 357,000 members. Mr. Corraini was formerly in charge of organizing workers and collective bargaining through national labor contracts with national level companies belonging to the same sectors. He represented FILCAMS-CGIL to employer associations, national institutions, and the Italian government. Mr. Corraini has negotiated fifteen national labor contracts, including the Commercial Tertiary contract, the consumer cooperatives contract, the tourism contract, the private security contract, cleaning services contract and house working contract.

George Jaksch, Chiquita Brands International
Mr. Jaksch was born in London and following studies of economics (Cambridge, UK) and agriculture (Seale-Hayne, UK), he for several years developed his own farming business in Colombia. He first joined Chiquita Brands in Colombia in 1979 as financial adviser to banana producers. After several years working for Geest in Colombia and Spain, he rejoined Chiquita in 1987and became operations manager of the Armuelles division on the Pacific coast of Panama. In 1989 Mr. Jaksch became director of quality control (Europe), based in the Netherlands, and soon afterwards was promoted to become responsible for quality assurance systems in Chiquita’s worldwide banana business, with residence in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since 1999, Mr. Jaksch has returned to Europe, initially as director of the marketing and sales operation in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and more recently with increasing involvement in Chiquita’s corporate responsibility work and public affairs. A member of Chiquita’s corporate responsibility steering committee, he has actively and with conviction supported the evolution of the concept. As a lead auditor, he has conducted the SA8000 audits in Chiquita’s Honduran, Guatemalan and Costa Rican divisions, together with independent observers from human rights NGO’s and trade unions. Mr. Jaksch is a member of the SA8000 Advisory Board.

Eileen Kaufman, Social Accountability International
Ms. Kaufman serves as Executive Director of Social Accountability International. She has held this position since SAI was incorporated in 1997. Prior to joining SAI, she was Director of Strategic Planning at the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, a strategic planner at the NYC Department of Design and Construction, and a financial planner at the NYC Water Board. At SAI’s inception, she worked at the Council on Economic Priorities, co-authoring Paper Profits, an analysis of paper mill pollution and its control. In addition, she is the author of over a dozen publications on corporate social responsibility, most recently two case studies, “From Principles to Practice: The Role of SA8000 in Implementing the UN Global Compact,” (UN, 2010) and “From Words to Action: A Business Case for Implementing Workplace Standards. Experiences from Key Emerging Markets,” (CIPE, 2009). Ms. Kaufman is a member of the UN Global Compact Human Rights Working Group, the UN Global Compact Supply Chain Sustainability Advisory Group, the Steering Committee for Transparency International’s Business Principles for Countering Bribery, and the CERES Stakeholder Council. Ms. Kaufman is a graduate of Wellesley College, where she earned a B.A. in Economics. Ms. Kaufman also holds an M.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University.

Andrew Kirkby, Bureau Veritas Certification
Mr. Andrew Kirkby is the Vice President of the Certification Business Line for Bureau Veritas Certification. He is a registered Incorporated Engineer (1992) and holds a Master of Science Degree in Engineering Management from Loughborough University (1999). He started his career in 1980 as an apprentice electromechanical engineer. During the 1980s, Mr. Kirkby worked in the UK Defence and Nuclear industries and, in 1992, joined the British Standards Institution (BSI). In 2001, he joined Bureau Veritas in the UK, first as Technical Director for the Certification Business Line, progressing then to Process Optimization Manager. In 2005, Mr. Kirkby became Certification Manager for the Netherlands and in 2007, he became Business Development Manager in the UK. In 2008, he was appointed Business Line Manager Certification for the Northern & Eastern Europe Zone and in 2010, he was seconded to the Certification business line for specific assignments and, in September, took full responsibility for its operations. Prasun Kundu, Det Norske Veritas
Mr. Prasun Kundu is a Lead Auditor and Manager for the SA8000 program for Det Norske Veritas. He has 15 years of management experience in DNV with a good understanding of DNV's corporate culture, code of ethics and anti-corruption policy. His present DNV assignment covers managing of SAAS global accreditation for SA 8000 services and BSCI services ,technical review and certificate / report authorisation of SA 8000 and BSCI projects globally. Mr. Kundu is a lead verifier of GRI-based Corporate Sustainability Reports and contributed significantly in promoting SA 8000 certification in manual-intensive Indian Metal and Mining Sector including major integrated Steel Plants. DNV is an independent foundation with the purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment. DNV's history goes back to 1864, when the foundation was established in Norway to inspect and evaluate the technical condition of Norwegian merchant vessels and has since established approximately 300 offices in 100 countries with over 9,000 employees from more than 85 different nations. DNV has been accredited by SAAS since 1998 and holds almost 10% of all SA8000 certificates.

Alice Tepper Marlin Social Accountability International
Ms. Tepper Marlin serves as President & CEO of Social Accountability International. She has held this position since 1997, upon the founding of SAI. She is currently also Adjunct Professor of Markets and Ethics at NYU’s Stern School of Business. Ms. Tepper Marlin has received numerous awards (e.g. Adweek and Mademoiselle Woman of the Year, Japan Society Fellow, Ashoka, Right Livelihood Award, Wellesley college Alumna of the Year), been profiled in various newspapers and magazines around the world (e.g. New York Times, People, Time, Le Monde) and has also been interviewed on numerous television and radio programs (e.g. Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN). In 1969, Ms. Tepper Marlin founded the Council on Economic Priorities (CEP) and served for three decades as President & CEO. At CEP, she wrote and/or edited dozens of books, including Shopping for a Better World (Ballantine Books). Earlier, she served as a Securities Analyst and Labor Economist at Burnham & Co., and as the editor of the tax journal of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation in the Netherlands.

Olga Orozco, Business Social Compliance Initiative
Dr. Olga Orozco is the Managing Director (Operations) for the Business Social Compliance Initiative, a leading business-driven initiative for companies committed to improving working conditions in the global supply chain. BSCI unites 700+ mostly European companies around a development-oriented system, applicable to all sectors and sourcing countries. Dr. Orozco has more than 15 years of experience in the area of Social Compliance, conducting investigations of labour violations and code audits for a number of schemes like WRAP, SA8000, BSCI and Fair Labor Association. She also worked for 6 years as Director of Operations for the SA8000 accredited auditing firm ALGI, holding positions in USA, Latin America and China. Her background includes a degree in agricultural sciences, a Masters degree in Biology and a PhD degree in Botany. In the field of agriculture, Dr. Orozco held positions as field researcher for BAYER AG in Colombia and as lecturer for the New York Botanical Garden (New York, USA) in the Plant Sciences Program.

Mike Patrick, TNT Express
Mr. Patrick is the Divisional Head Office Director for TNT Express based in the UK and Amsterdam. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the global strategies for corporate responsibility. Mr. Patrick joined TNT Express in 2002 in the health, safety and environmental department in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and has held various positions over the last five years within the divisional head office. In his current role, he is responsible for the development, deployment, achievement and maintaining of the Corporate Responsibility strategy for TNT Express on a global basis, which covers health, safety and environment, quality, social accountability and the management and integrity of CR data. As Mr. Patrick has global responsibility, he and his team travel extensively to support the regions and countries in achieving the corporate responsibility strategy. Mr. Patrick has a wife, son and daughter and is based in Trinity Park Birmingham in the UK and in Amsterdam The Netherlands. He is a qualified engineer and has worked in manufacturing, enforcement, training, human resources, risk management and operations in the public and private sectors.

Marina Piloni, SGS Italia
Ms. Marina Piloni is the Sustainability Service Development Director at SGS Italia, a branch of the global certification body. Ms. Piloni’s experience at SGS Italia has been extensive – she has been an SA8000 Global Product Manager, a CSR product developer and a marketing developer. Additionally, Ms. Piloni has been trained in the SA8000 Auditor Training Course, the SA8000 Advance Training course, the BSI Lead Auditor Training Course, and the SRA SGS Service Training, based on GRI and AA1000, for Sustainability Assurance Statement. Prior to working at SGS, she worked in marketing and sales, and consultation, committing to best practices. Ms. Piloni attended a post-diploma course from ISTEDA/Bruxelles University in Congressional Tourism.

Rossella Ravagli, Gucci
Ms. Ravagli is the Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility Manager at Gucci in Firenze, Italy. She is fully responsible for the development of the Corporate Social Responsibility programs and topics including marketing, training activities, and support and coordination of the SA8000 standard. Ms. Ravagli has spent over ten years working on corporate social responsibility standards and has been responsible for development, training, and marketing activities and commercial aspects within CSR. Prior to working with Gucci, she was the Program Manager for SA8000 at Bureau Veritas, a qualified SA8000 lead auditor and tutor for SA8000 training course. Ms. Ravagli has worked directly with Social Accountability International in many aspects, and has been a qualified trainer for the SA8000 standard (since January 1999) and the ISO9000 standard (July 1997-April 2003). Additionally, she is a CEPAS (IRCA Equivalent) certified trainer (July 1998-December 2004).Ms. Ravagli has published many interviews and articles about social accountability, SA 8000 and human rights. Ms. Ravagli received her Degree in Quality Assurance and Human and Resource developments, as well as her Masters in Statistic and Economic Sciences from Bologna University.

Achille Tonani, RINA SpA
Mr. Achille Tonani is currently the Head of Sustainability, Governance and Innovation at RINA, a certification company offering business activities including certification, verification and assistance services to economic and institutional operators. Mr. Tonani has been with RINA in various positions, including SA8000 Lead Auditor, ISO 9001 Auditor, Product Manager for SA8000, Developer for Corporate Governance and Responsibility, Anti Bribery audit coordinator, ISO 28000 Auditor. In these fields, he was responsible for developing new projects related to social accountability, corporate governance, anti-bribery, and health & safety. He acted as a consultant for the Ministry of Labour and took part as speaker in several national conferences. Mr. Tonani is currently a member of the Social Accountability International SA8000 Advisory Board. He has a degree in International Law and is an expert in the application of OECD principles, with specific knowledge of anti-bribery procedures.

Luca Valli, CISE
Mr. Valli is the Director of CISE - Centro per l'Innovazione e lo Sviluppo Economico. CISE - Ethical Work Network has been accredited for certification to the social accountability standard SA8000 and for SA8000 auditor training since the year 20001 .
Over the course of those years, rigorous procedures and absolute respect for the spirit of SA8000 certification have established Ethical Work Network's credibility and propelled it into the position of market leader in Italy. The network was set up on the initiative of CISE (Centre for Innovation and Economic Development), itself a branch of the Forlì-Cesena Chamber of Commerce, a public body which is legally bound to allow all its stakeholders a share in its management policies. CISE is an impartial certification body solely providing social accountability certification.

Mort Winston, The College of New Jersey
Dr. Winston is currently Professor at The College of New Jersey and has served as Department Chair and Director of the Center for Instructional Enhancement. His areas of specialization include human rights theory, applied ethics, cognitive science, and philosophy of technology. Dr. Winston’s most recent books are "On Chomsky" and "Society, Ethics, and Technology". He has contributed numerous articles and chapters on topics related to human rights, biomedical ethics, and applied ethics. Dr. Winston has held a visiting faculty fellowship at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and received a Fulbright Scholarship to South Africa. He has lectured extensively on human rights topics and was awarded a second Fulbright Scholarship to Thailand. In addition to his academic career, Dr. Winston has pursued a parallel career as a human rights activist with Amnesty International. From 1985-1991 he served as Director of the South Africa Coordination Group of Amnesty International USA, served as a member of AIUSA's national Board of Directors from 1991-1997, and as Chair of the Board from 1995-1997. He is currently Chair of AI’s Standing Committee on Organization and Development and was founding Chair of the Business and Economic Relations Group of Amnesty International USA. He is also currently Honorary Chairman of the Board of Directors of AIUSA. Dr. Winston is a member of the SA8000 Advisory Board.
